Counseling

Pre-Marriage

CBC has an extensive Pre-Marriage Counseling program which is intended to help couples in their decision to marry, as well as to prepare them for marriage. Couples contemplating marriage are urged to begin Pre-Marriage Counseling as early as possible (at least four months prior to the wedding date). Contact the CBC Office for information.

Other Counseling

The Scriptures make it clear that each member of the church is to minister to those in need of admonition, encouragement, or help (Matt. 18:15-20; Rom. 12:9-15; 1 Corin. 12:4-30; Gal. 6:1, 10; 1 Thess. 5:14; Heb. 13:16; James 1:27). If personal and private attempts to help have not solved the problem, Ministry Groups should be the next source of help. Ministry Group leaders (yours or the group to which the hurting individual belongs) should be consulted. If the problem is beyond the resources of the Ministry Group, the Ministry Group leader(s) should contact their assigned elder. If the person in need is not a member of a Ministry Group, the Office or an elder may be contacted.
