The 2020 Men’s Retreat will be held on Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7. This year’s retreat is at Springhill Retreat Center (3991 E Renner Rd, Richardson, 75082). Former CBCer Wayne Denny is our speaker this year, and his topic is, “Being Faithful in Changing Times.” See his bio below.
Our schedule will be: Dinner on Friday at 6:30 p.m., and Session 1 begins at 7:40. On Saturday, breakfast is at 8:30 a.m., Session 2 starts at 9:30 a.m., lunch & fellowship is 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., and Session 3 starts at 1:00 p.m. The retreat will end at 3:00 p.m.

Wayne Denny Bio:
Wayne grew up in a Christian home in Reidsville, NC. He began to have a passion to study God’s Word in college and decided to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. In 2001, he began attending CBC and lived with fellow CBCers. He and Hilary were married in 2005 and sent out as missionaries with WorldVenture from CBC in 2009. After language school in Paris, they moved to Senegal in 2010 where they served in teaching, leadership, and partnering with local churches. In 2016, they moved to Memphis where Hilary works in urban education and Wayne began developing WorldVenture’s diaspora ministry. Wayne has an outreach ministry among the West African community and is team leader for diaspora ministry in Memphis. Wayne is also currently pursuing a PhD in Intercultural Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he hopes to graduate before his daughter finishes high school! Wayne and Hilary have 2 kids, Adelaide (13) and Marc (9).
